A quick post here. Last week, One of my customers had an issue with vCloud Director 5.6.3. The issue was related to ConsoleProxy Port, The interface was pingable but some errors were reported from the F5-BIG-IP Load balancer.
I ran a quick check from the vCloud Drector cell by listing the ports in listening state. vCloud Director ConsoleProxy should be listening on Port 443. I was expecting ConspleProxy Interface with IP “192.168.95.32” to be listening to port 443.
So how to fix this, It is very easy. I found KB article (KB1026293). Following the KB article, I checked the configuration of global.properties file
It was obvious that the IP was changed from “192.168.95.32” to “127.0.0.1”, I am not sure why this happened. I am confident I pointed to the correct interface while configuring vCloud Director.
So changing this entry then restart the vCloud Director service made it work like a charm.
Appreciate if someone came across this, He can share why this happened after configuring the vCloud Director correctly.
